Two-toned-haired, gap-toothed Goth girl wonder Melanie Martinez first made an impression as arguably one of the most unique and fascinating contestants to ever appear on The Voice, on arguably that series’ most memorable trek, Season 3. There’s never been anyone quite like her on The Voice, or any other TV talent show, before or since.

But Melanie has come a long way since her 2012 television debut, when she was only 16 years old. After building a rabid and viral fanbase with her “Dollhouse” video, which racked up an astounding 16 million views on YouTube last year, her spooky follow-up song “Carousel” was featured in the extended trailer for American Horror Story: Freak Show.

Obviously, this girl is so talented, it’s scary.

And now Melanie is releasing her full-length debut, Cry Baby, on Atlantic Records, this week. You can get a sampler of what to expect from that album, as she plays both of her singles (currently available on her Dollhouse EP) unplugged at Yahoo Music. Enjoy her freakishly good show here!
